St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Tarzana was again the venue for ISN's annual 'In the Spirit of MLK' event. Over 70 showed up to break bread, greet friends and explored the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King's approach to "Cultivating the Path to Peace," a timely exploration of timeless truths. Pastor Vernon Kemp opened in prayer, followed by an introduction by ISN Chair, The Rev. Daniel Tamm. LA Mayor Karen Bass provided remarks by video, and  ISN Board Member Corinne Ho then introduced the panel of speakers, Rabbi Sarah Hronsky, Salam Al-Marayati, and Moderator Rev. Kirkpatrick Tyler. ISN partner Ven. Shantha Sobhana closed the program with a Buddhist chant for peace. Music was provided throughout by the Bethel Lutheran Church Singers led by Mylene Marie Morris. .
