Bethel Encino is a progressive Christian community, recognizing the presence of the divine dwelling in and among us. We are a house for all, welcoming everyone of all age, class, color, legal status, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, family configuration and abilities. We are a house of prayer rooted in Word and Worship. We are a house for generation to generation, committed to all ages and children in particular. We are a house for justice, called to the holy work of peace and solidarity. We are a house of healing, participating in the healing power of the Holy Spirit and recognizing Jesus in the broken places of the world. We live out this calling through our four pillars of ministry: worship, fellowship, partnership, and discipleship - which includes our preschool ministry.
The interim worship leader will lead the Bethel community in our call to worship and praise God. Working closely with the pastoral staff, the minister of music will shape the Sunday worship by selecting the songs, coordinating a mix of paid and volunteer musicians, and leading a Sunday morning rehearsal and worship service.
