"I am grateful that Bethel is a place for folks to grow closer to God. We continue to come alive and grow deeper in faith, community service, holiness, prayer, and justice. I am especially grateful for my personal opportunities to grow stronger in my faith walk and in ministry and equally excited about the presence of God at Bethel. We see prayers being answered; prayers of healing, employment, and peace within the family units.
I am grateful for the small groups and bible study discussions. The digging deeper into the Word and contemplate the daily application in my live has been transformation. Not too long ago, I had stopped by a Denny’s. On my way out I saw a gentleman that appeared to be homeless. He was not asking for anything and normally I would have passed by. But Pastor Rustin had just preached on having the eyes of Jesus to see those that have been marginalized. So I stopped and asked if I could by him breakfast. He smiled and said no he just wanted a light to smoke his cigarette. Not the answer I was expecting, but have to believe that I still was a blessing to him. He smiled and was noticed. He blessed me by the look in his eyes.
'Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 '"
