Sam was born in India but raised in St. Louis Mo, when his parents relocated there in 1976. Growing up in a christian home Sam felt the pull to serve in ministry at a young age. He started volunteering at camp and youth group which lead him to attend a bible college after high school. He eventually received a Master’s degree in education from Columbia International University. Sam served his first church in Greensboro NC. He served a few churches for the following 10 years and made the move to California to pursue his passion for comedy. Sam worked for a few years in some of our local group homes for foster children and felt called to return to the church to serve. When not working with youth Sam enjoys doing improv and comedy, boardgaming, playing guitar, and sports. EMAIL
Creativity is one of the core values at Bethel. Our incredible worship team is one of the places that core value is clearly lived out. Bethel’s worship team is filled with some of Los Angeles’ most amazing and creative musicians. Jake Newton, singer songwriter, actor, and producer, leads our amazing worship team each Sunday. There are many other incredible musicians that together create Bethel’s music. We love to incorporate all types of music, including many originals. We recognize that God speaks through many forms and we find the sacred in many surprising places. Alongside our worship team we have a new arts team that is always looking for new creative ways to experience the Divine through co-creating alongside the Creator.

Lisa Brown has been the church administrator for 25 years. She has been an Angelino for many years, after moving from the Detroit area. Lisa is an incredibly gifted and talented woman who has been a foundational leader in our community. She has a deep love for animals and nature, and leads our homeless pets ministry.
Lisa has a beautiful family including two wonderful adult children and her amazing granddaughter Willow. Beyond her incredible gifts one of the greatest delights is to come into our office and to see what random music will be playing each day and try to discern what smell of incense she might be burning. email
